What’s GIVER about?
Harmony Klay is an aging community college drama teacher who must recalibrate her path to pregnancy when she learns that one of her students is on the roster of potential sperm donors.

Why make this film?
GIVER is a story about a woman on the verge of making a life-changing decision. Harmony is someone in transition, and we meet her in moment in her life that is complicated and deeply personal. While most films about elective insemination portray a desperate and pathetic woman, GIVER tells the story of a female character that we don’t often get to see: unabashed, unapologetic but inherently human. For me, Harmony’s complex journey represents the low-grade but unrelenting sense of responsibility that is the experience of becoming a mother, no matter what your path to it may be.

Timeline?

Production is set to begin in late Spring 2017, with an release of the film in the Fall of the same year.
