Straightlaced at Frameline in San Francisco

Straightlaced: How Gender’s Got Us All Tied Up screened at the Roxie Theater last Friday to a sold out crowd at Frameline 33: San Francisco’s LGBT Film Festival! With a mixed crowd of film lovers, educators, Debra Chasnoff fans, and youth, the film was received warmly at it’s West Coast film festival premiere.
A handful of youth from the film were present for an interesting Q & A following the screening. The audience was eager to know where the youth of the film were at now in their lives and what had changed in their lives since the making of Straightlaced. Eloquently and with passion, the youth in the film opened up about their feelings about being involved with GroundSpark and the national campaign to bring the film to high schools across the nation.
